The Department organised its first International Conference on Advancements in Computing Technologies - ICACT 2018 on Feb 2nd & 3rd, 2018. It was a great platform for sharing knowledge, expertise and experiences of various researchers, academicians and students.
A series of talks were given by the experts in different areas of research. The conference started with the inaugural address by Ms. Sumithra Gomatam, President, Congnizant Technology Solutions on Evolution of technology. Dr. Kenneth Rouse, LeTourneau University briefed on the Power of “What if”, Thinking out of the box from the research perspective. The other eminent speakers were Mr. Ankush Minocha, Head, Wipro Ltd., Dr. Hema Murthy, Professor, IIT Madras, Dr. Charanjith, Birmingham City University, UK. Dr. Christina Philip, Lecturer, University of Leeds, UK, Ms. Pradeepa Narayanasamy, Agile Consultant, Mr. Vasan Krishnamurthy from Tech Mahindra, Dr. Peter Augustine, Associate Professor, Christ University.
Several research papers presented by the participants on latest technologies helped them to keep abreast on the research in latest technologies. Experts from Academia chaired the paper presentaion session.
ICACT 2020
The second International Conference on Advancements in Computing Technologies - ICACT 2020 was organized on Jan 10th & 11th, 2020. ICACT 2020 served as a great platform for teaching and research fraternity for knowledge exchange and updation.
A series of talks by the experts in various areas of research were organized. Ms. Shyamala Rajaraman, CEO Drupal Solutions @ Unimity Solutions addressed the gathering on "New Age Computing". Dr. Robin Doss, Director, School of Information Technology, Deakin University, Australia spoke about Security and Privacy in the Age of Internet of Things. Dr. Roshan G Ragel Professor in Computer Engineering University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka briefed on "The Impact of Computers and Machine Intelligence in Human Life: A Systems Perspective". Followed by the knowledge-sharing sessions by eminent speakers like Dr.R.Gunasekaran, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Technology, Anna University, MIT Campus, Chennai, Mr. Rajeshkumar, Head of System Engineering, Enterprise & Government Vertical, India & SAARC, Juniper Networks, Mr. Vinoth Kannan Baskar, Senior Solutions Consultant, Juniper Networks, Dr. Debabrata Samantha, Christ University, Bengaluru, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Mr. Prakash Gurumoorthy, Born Group, Partner & MD, Asia Pacific and Japan gave an insight across various domains.
Researchers presented papers on the latest technologies and the session was by Experts from Institutes and University.
