That time of the year has arrived, when one union’s term comes to an end and another takes over. In order to look back and celebrate the year that has gone by, the Students Union 2017-18 held the Union day on 14 March 2018. Ms Pavithra Charan, President, Students’ Union 1998-99 was invited as the Chief Guest and she reflected on how the world has changed from then to now. The General Secretary’s report showcased the achievements of the Union and the activities conducted in the past year. The Treasurer’s report consisted of the income and expense statement and the Cultural Secretaries’ reports spoke of the various cultural events held in the college.

The Dramatics club put up a small skit about the Union members and the Student Deans also asked the audience to guess which Union member best fits the description they read out one by one; this excited the Union  even as it left it slightly nervous.

The incoming Union 2018-19 took their oaths during the investiture Ceremony.

The best club award for the year 2017-18 was bagged by the Quiz, Debate and Current Affairs club and the day ended with a beautiful performance by the Western dance club.
